Dagger or Seax
A dagger or seax (long knife) are short bladed weapons that can be worn with civilian dress and used as a primary weapon. Or it can be used as a secondary weapon along side a longer weapon, or as a fallback weapon should the primary weapon be lost.
To be graded as competent with this weapon you must answer the following questions:-

- What do you do when you think you have hit someone too hard?
Ask if they are OK
Apologise - What do you do if you accidentally hit someone in the head?
Stop and attend to them - What do you do if the person is injured?
Alert the leech
- Blocking staff attacks for 90 seconds. You will be watched to see that you:-
- Use correct footwork
- Use your offhand
- Block effectively
- Spin and catch the dagger 10 times
- Demonstrate a shield grab combined with a dagger attack
- Owning an armoured glove for the other hand
- Making the glove yourself
