Why Red Ravens?

Red Raven
Dave Smith and Evan Nattras founded the club. The name comes from "Les Corbins de Rouge" which was a French mercenary company in approx 1300-1400.

Some of the Red Ravens, who reenact earlier time periods, find the name can stand for the ravens  Huginn (Thought) and Muninn (Memory or Mind). These two ravens belonged to the Norse god Odin. Every dawn Odin sends them out into the world. By breakfast they return with news. The symbol of the ravens suggests the importance of intelligence for the planning of a successful military operation.

Artwork

Below are some artwork files which club members can use to decorate their costumes and armour. Some of the files are in SVG format, you may need to download Inkscape to view these. It is free, and works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. SVG, Scalable Vector Graphics, can be enlarged from stamp size to billboard size and retain the same quality of details - unlike a photo.
